CRESTOR SIDE EFFECTS
CRESTOR is indicated
As an adjunct to diet to reduce elevated total-C, LDL-C, ApoB, non-HDL-C, and TG levels and to increase HDL-C in crestor side effects patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and nonfamilial) and mixed dyslipidemia.
CRESTOR is contraindicated
In patients with a known hypersensitivity to any component of this product, in patients with active liver disease or crestor side effects with unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases, in women who are or may become pregnant, and in nursing mothers.
* Risk factors include cigarette smoking, hypertension (blood pressure ?140/90 mm Hg or on antihypertensive medication), HDL-C <40 mg/dL, family history of premature CHD (CHD in male first-degree relative aged <55 years; CHD in female first-degree relative aged <65 years), and crestor side effects age (men aged ?45 years; women aged ?55 years).

According to the third report of the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel (NCEP ATP III) update, the LDL-C goal is <160 mg/dL for Lower-Risk patients,

CHD risk equivalents include noncoronary forms of atherosclerotic disease (peripheral arterial disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease), diabetes, and 2+ risk factors with a 10-year risk for CHD >20%.
